  4. A Windows 3.1 (tm Microsoft) program for predicting the scores
  5. of Pro Football games, using a variety of methods, based on the
  6. performance of the two teams in previous games. The database 
  7. includes historical data for the 1994 regular season and
  8. play-offs, plus the scheduled games for the 1994 pre-season and 
  9. 1995 pre- and regular seasons.

  11. This is a shareware product. You may distribute copies of this
  12. disk to your friends for their evaluation. If you use this
  13. product, you are expected to register (see REGISTER.TXT). The
  14. program may be uploaded to bulletin boards and on-line
  15. information services. If you charge a fee for distributing this
  16. product, you must have written authorization (see VENDINFO.TXT)
  17. unless you are recognized by the ASP.

  19. There is no manual provided with this version of the program.
  20. However, there are extensive help screens which give detailed
  21. instructions covering the content and purpose of each screen and
  22. menu item.

  24. This program requires Windows 3.1, a 386 or faster CPU, at least
  25. 4 Meg RAM, and approximately 1.5 Meg of disk space for the
  26. program and 2.5 Meg per year of data. This version will require
  27. a total of approximately 6.5 Meg by the end of the 1995 season.

  67. INSTALLATION:

  69. With the above files in a directory on the hard drive (e.g.,
  70. C:\COMM\DOWNLOAD), start Windows, and from the Windows Program
  71. Manager select File, then Run...
  72.  
  73. In the Command Line box, type in x:\path\SETUP, where x:\path is
  74. the drive and path where the program is stored, and then click 
  75. on the "OK" button. For example, if installing from the above
  76. download directory you would type C:\COMM\DOWNLOAD\SETUP and 
  77. then click on "OK".

  79. The installation program then suggests a subdirectory in which to
  80. place the program and all related files. This subdirectory can be
  81. changed if desired. It is strongly recommended that a empty sub 
  82. directory be used to facilitate later removal. The subdirectory
  83. in which the program is to be installed may be the same as the
  84. one in which the SETUP and program files are stored.

  86. The setup routine will then transfer the program, library, and 
  87. data files to the indicated subdirectory.

  89. The user will then be asked whether or not to create a program 
  90. group and icon for the program. Normally this is answered yes.

  92. At this point the program has been installed and is ready to run.

  96. To facilitate removal of the program, all files associated with
  97. this program (program files, data files, and libraries) are
  98. placed in the designated subdirectory. No files are created or
  99. modified outside of the designated directory. The program can be
  100. totally removed from the system by deleting all files in the 
  101. designated sub directory, deleting the sub directory, deleting
  102. the program icon from the program group, and deleting the 
  103. program group.

  108. 08/27/95.01  The Dome Stadium and Artificial Turf parameters 
  109. have not been verified for the following teams: Carolina
  110. Panthers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Oakland Raiders, and St. Louis
  111. Rams.
